SYSTEM OF A DOWN Announces Fourth And Final Rose Bowl Concert For June 2027

Due to overwhelming demand, Grammy Award-winning rock band SYSTEM OF A DOWN has added a fourth and final show at Rose Bowl Stadium in Pasadena, California. The newly added Saturday, June 12 performance joins the previously announced June 5, June 6, and June 10 shows, expanding the band's 2027 Rose Bowl run to four nights. PIERCE THE VEIL will appear as special guests on June 5 and June 6, while GOJIRA will provide support on June 10 and June 12.

Promoted by Live Nation and 30e, the four Rose Bowl shows will be SYSTEM OF A DOWN's only North American headline performances of 2027. The added dates arrive on the heels of the massive sell-out success of SYSTEM OF A DOWN's European summer stadium tour (with back-to-back sellouts in Paris, London, and Warsaw),as well as the 25th anniversary of "Toxicity". The landmark album was celebrated earlier this month with an exhibition at Beyond The Streets in Los Angeles, where the band invited fans into an immersive world, curated with rare artifacts and ephemera from the "Toxicity" era.

Tickets for the newly added Saturday, June 12 show go on sale today (Tuesday, October 27) at 12 p.m. local time at Ticketmaster.com.

SYSTEM OF A DOWN remains one of the most commercially significant heavy acts of its era despite not having released a studio album since 2005. The quartet consistently sells out stadiums across the globe, and regularly registers over 26 million monthly listeners on Spotify, making them one of the most-listened-to rock/alternative bands in the world.

Few bands have defined heavy music like SYSTEM OF A DOWN. Since emerging on to the global stage, the four-piece has become one of the most distinctive and impactful bands of the past three decades.

Formed in Los Angeles, SOAD has soundtracked personal, political, sonic, and spiritual revolution since the 1998 release of its multi-platinum self-titled debut. With era-defining albums such as their seminal release "Toxicity", the band has sold over 42 million albums worldwide.

The Serj Tankian-fronted outfit has toured intermittently since ending its hiatus in 2011, but has yet to record a full-length follow-up to its "Mezmerize" and "Hypnotize" LPs, which came out more than two decades ago.

In 2005, "Mezmerize" and "Hypnotize" both debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart six months apart.

Three of SYSTEM OF A DOWN's five studio albums debuted atop the Billboard 200.

SYSTEM OF A DOWN has only managed to record two songs in the last 20 years, "Protect The Land" and "Genocidal Humanoidz". Released in November 2020, the tracks were motivated by the conflict between Artsakh and Azerbaijan, with all proceeds supporting humanitarian efforts in SYSTEM OF A DOWN's ancestral homeland of Armenia. Along with other donations from fans on their social pages, they raised over $600,000.
